A band that quit at the top... but now they're back! Sun-Rot was one of the most promising acts of the Hungarian indie scene with their floating, soulful, dreamy, yet psychedelic sound reaching it’s peak on their 2023 album, Mirage. Unfortunately, the band split up just after the album's release, however, after a two-year hiatus,

they have now reunited and are already working on new material. Budabeats Records is not letting Mirage be forgotten by releasing this little gem for the first time on vinyl, in the form it rightfully diserves: on 180 gram marbled vinyl, limited to 200 copies worldwide.

Producers S. Fidelity, Bluestaeb, and Melodiesinfonie form a powerhouse trio known for their innovative blend of RnB, House, and 2-Step sounds. Their collaborative magic often unfolds in unique settings, such as a picturesque studio in the South of France, where they crafted their long awaited EP "365 P". The trio's ability to capture the essence of live sessions and translate it into vibrant, downtempo grooves has earned them a reputation already. This second VA, features producers, Anderson, Aspetuck, Bænglund and Watch Patrol.

We begin off the record with ‘Funk Inspector’ from Bænglund. The track name here sums it up pretty well. Full on quirky funk in the airwaves. A delicious cut to keep everyone on there toes!
Next on the A2 we have Aspetuck with his ‘As the Fog Rolls In’, Starting off with a bubbly soundscape the track progresses into a hypnotic acidic journey keeping the mood deep and melancholic. Handle this one with care!

On the B1 we have Anderson who delivers another deep and beautifully crafted soundscape. This is a timeless tune that takes you on a sonic journey from start to finish. This will work wonders on the dance floor and during your introspective moments laying in bed with your headphones bumping.

Lastly, we close out the release with the one and only Watch Patrol who we have all dearly missed. We hope you enjoy this slowed down IDM breakbeat gem!

Riding the Thin Line" is an EP by DJ Bone, an influential figure in the Detroit techno scene. Released in 1999, the EP showcases DJ Bone's signature style characterized by deep, driving beats and intricate rhythms. The tracks blend elements of classic Detroit techno with contemporary sounds, reflecting his ability to bridge different eras of electronic music. The EP is noted for its experimental approach while maintaining a dancefloor-friendly vibe. Each track offers a unique listening experience, highlighting DJ Bone's skills as a producer and DJ. His work often emphasizes a sense of journey, making "Riding the Thin Line" a compelling addition to any techno enthusiast's collection. Overall, the EP reinforces DJ Bone's reputation as a pioneer and an innovator within the techno genre.

Witchfinder General formed in 1979 and were part of the New Wave of British Heavy Metal (NWOBHM) movement during the early 1980s. They are strongly influenced by Black Sabbath, and are widely recognised today as one of the pioneers of the doom metal style. Their 1983 classic "Friends Of Hell" has been re-issued for the first time with this new track listing featuring a rare live track on heavy weight 180gsm vinyl contained within a protective polypropylene bag.

Nach einer rekordverdächtigen Welttournee im Jahr 2023, bei der alle Termine seines letzten Albums bereits Monate im Voraus ausverkauft waren, nahm sich Ben Böhmer Zeit für sich selbst und kehrte an den Ort zurück, der ihn am meisten anzieht: sein Studio. Berlin club and party-starters Sameheads return to black wax on April 10th with “ZEUG!”, a 4-track EP from various celebrated artists, who join forces in new and unheard ways for a stack of outernational and spaced-out dancefloor jams for creative dance floors worldwide and beyond.

Berlin-based CROSSLUCID, AKA Sylwana Zybura and Tomas C. Toth, have delivered another stunning example of their perception-bending otherworldly viewpoint with the artwork for the release. A purely analog production, fusing clever lighting tricks, hand-made props, and a healthy dose of shaving foam and dry ice… This “Cult of the Cosmic Swamp” chimes with the weird tribal rhythms contained on the record.

First up is Mameen 3 (a side-project from Brussels selector DJ Sofa) & Romanian pioneer Rodion G.A with ‘Planet Cluj’, a suitably off-world excursion through a fun-packed disco hall in some far-off colony where layered synths are stacked, elements seeping through one another to form a mesh of groove.

Anatolian Weapons’ cosmic fireside ritual, ‘Chant 3’, heats up the A2 with vibrant and punchy percussion loops woven together with a worldwide chorus of chanters. Building continuously, the tough workout is dosed up with a bassline saturated in attitude for a high-energy finish.

Picking up on the B side are KRENG (a morphic form composed of Don’t DJ and Dane Close), who slow the pace down with a latticed beatwork combining robust dance formulas and blasting syncopation. Letting the rhythm do the legwork for the first half of the track, the pair then pour out a sludged mess of grime-infused bass over the percussive chaos.

Silvia Kastel and Wilted Woman close proceedings as SHAKEY with a dubwise workout that straddles b-side house obscurity and stoned live dub improvisation: steel drums patter at the windows of Paradise Garage as Larry Levan fights off the vampires alongside Scientist.

The release is celebrated at Sameheads on April 10th with an extremely rare live show from Rodion G. A., an appearance from INVERSIONS label owner Milo Smee, and a b2b from Don’t Dj & Dane Close. Limited to 300 pieces, this record will find a home in the stacks of DJ’s willing to step outside genre and convention.

Santa Monica is the first Maxi Single released by WATAJ Recordings. It features three tracks ready to take you with in a very hot scenarios, from sunrise to aftersunset. Claudio Brioschi aka City Strike comes out with two very deep but at the sametime nostalgic and evocative electronic-funk composition. "We're The Meatmen.And You Still Suck" wurde 1988 "live" aufgenommen und war zur Zeit ihres Releases das definitive MEATMEN Album. Unglaublich gut in der Qualität, wenn man bedenkt, dass es sich hier (hust, hust) um ein reines Livealbum handelt, ist "We're The Meatmen." der Sound der Band wie sie immer klingen sollte. Ohne sich auch nur einen Deut zurückzuhalten, ist dies hier aufgedrehter Punk/Metal mit dem männlichsten Mann aller Zeiten, Tesco Veer als Zeremonienmeister der Apokalypse. Die Songs sind ganz vorn mit dabei, wo die Originale "Tooling For Anus," "One Down Three To Go," "Lesbian Death Dirge" und so weiter mit fabulösen Coverversionen von "Razamanaz" von NAZARETH und "Rebel Rouser" von SWEET. Restoring balance to our series of earthly compilations, one that has brought to you an array of different artists, all with the collective goal of sharing the joy of exploring musical wonders with no borders, we have Earthly Tapes 04.

In keeping with the series so far, nature and electronica intertwine in unison to share a space as befitting to hedonistic dancefloor groovers as it is to homebound explorations. With this release, we have 7 wonderful artists expressing their creativity across 6 carefully curated tracks, with native roots connected to 5 different countries across South America and Europe.

2 years in the making and chopping and changing as it’s passed through the motions, what has remained is the concept behind it. On this edition, we're shining a light on a small portion of female producers within a music scene that we’re fortunate to be a part of.

Each artist that has carefully created a track for this compilation, has also contributed their beautiful crafts within the Organica/Folkloric/Downtempo scene and we’re truly blessed to be able to share them with you. The countdown to the release of this next chapter finds us coinciding fittingly with International Women’s Day.

Siberian born and since 2010, a proud resident of Naples where her musical journey began, Anfisa Letyago has brought to the next generation of techno DJ/producers a sincerity and passion few others can. Of which she is successfully channeling to an incredible growing fanbase. From her releases on Drumcode, Rekids and her newly minted imprint N:S:DA, Kompakt are ecstatic to welcome her to our long running SPEICHER series.

“Keep Flight” is bare and punishing. Taking cues from the greats – think early Hood, Broom or Surgeon – Anfisa takes us down a relentless wormhole fortified by a pulsing vocal and EBM synth. In contrast, the flip side “Rhythm Tension” is a more slowed down, acid squelched affair where Anfisa’s vocals keep the vibe fully in check for those feel good moments everyone is currently needing in a DJ set.

There’s been a refurb at The Gallery, a fresh new look for the onlookers. This brand-new exhibition follows in the prestigious footsteps of its predecessors, two jaw-droppingly stunning works of art on display, re-touched, re-loved and ready to be snapped up by the highest bidder.

One side sees the mysterious mastermind take on some tropical boogie heat via ‘Hello You Yeah’ with the flip a cosmic disco warper in the form of ‘Just Be Yourself’. Two irresistible cuts that will be whipping crowds into a frenzy the world over.

The debut full length album from Gloved Hands, entitled Empty Terminal, finds the musician straying from the dance floor in search of something amorphous and less tangible. Ambient in nature, the eight tracks that comprise the LP have a deep focus on texture, space, and human feelings rather than a need for constant propulsion and momentum.

The A-side, the more rhythmic and percussive of the two, is awash with vague echos and smudged, slow-moving chords. Subaqueous drums shift in and out of focus. Sound sources are at once distant and intimately close. The curtains part to reveal a glimpse of a crystalline melody or a fraction of a vocal phrase only for the room to fill with fragrant smoke and go dark. It is a place beyond the dance floor. Perhaps it's a place without any floor at all.

The B-side is even more fragile and diaphanous. The foreground and background are obscured, leaving a hazy mesh of delicate, interwoven forms and rhythms; glistening and brushing against one another in the warm, dimly-lit space in between. With a swirling mix of cavernous bass and sweet-but-never-saccharine melody, the details are stretched and abstracted into something new yet familiar. The compositions ripple in midair, appearing and vanishing, close but just out of reach.
